Rooted and Grounded

So we have officially been in Guatemala for a total of 10 days and God has already done so much, and we have seen him move in some very special ways! Juan our Host who we are doing ministry with is without a shadow of a doubt a warrior for God and the Lord has big plans for him. we are helping Juan build his outreach center where He will have a Church, a place for the kids to come after school, get tutoring with their homework, a place where he feeds those that are hungry and in need of food, a soccer field for the kiddos and a place where the kids can come chill and have a good time all for free the only thing is they have to agree to hear the Gospel and learn about the true Jesus And be discipled by Juan. In doing this He will be working grass roots in breaking strongholds, creating transformational change and making a generation of Christ followers in his area that can rise up and be a light within their community’s and take back the ground that the enemy thinks he owns. So far God has been opening up so many doors for Juan to penetrate the new community that He is in. Also the team and I have been helping him get things in order for his building and have made tremendous progress on the construction side of things. With all of this being done the enemy is not happy, we have openly declared war on the enemy as we have gone into the dark places and prayed against the strongholds that the enemy has over the city. We have been bold in our prays and intentional in breaking down the walls of darkness so that power of God can penetrate. God has been moving in Juan’s situation and also within the city that we have been prayer walking in and the enemy has been attacking us in every way that he can. He has tried to use covid restrictions and the fear that surrounds it from allowing us to the city and keep our movement restricted. He has tried to sew discord and confusion between us and the Host, he has tried to use our emotions and the things that we left behind against us, he has tried to attack us spiritually and tried do things to discourage us and question our calling And has even came at us physically. I would not be being truthful if I said everything has been smooth for us, but before we came to our hosts for our first ministry I was spending time with God and clearly heard him say that I needed to keep my eyes on Him at all times and I’m starting to see that was not only for me but both teams that were here because the enemy has been forcing us to be flexible, stay prayerful, and stretching our faith and trust in God. Every time the enemy has tried to throw an obstacle in our way we have always sought the Lord for strength, comfort, guidance, and some cases healing, and God every time has shown himself faithful and sovereign and turned everything that the enemy meant for evil and used it for good and His glory!! All we have had to do is remain faithful and seek him for His grace that is always sufficient for us in every situation.The enemy can not stop what God has already ordained and His will always be done. What a Faithful God we serve, can I get an Amen?
