So through out the World race after every 2 or 3 months we will have something called a debrief where all the teams within our squad get together after their month of ministry and rest and process the work that was just done. So starting last week we had our first debrief/training, this one is different because this one involves our mentor Stephanie and she blesses us with her awesome ability to teach and call people higher to look more like Christ. So this last week was absolutely amazing but at the same time we were looking to really get deeper than just the surface level of not only what we know about the Gospel, Holy Spirit, and the Kingdom of God, but ourselves and our own sins and problems to really uproot the source of where it all comes from. so the last week has been hard as we searched deep within ourselves and searched out the things that are hindering us, binding us, enslaving us, or even possessing us so that we could get to the roots and cut them out of our lives. Not only does this cause pain but its a lot of work because to get to the roots you have to dig and that can look like digging through past pains and hurts, memory’s, pride, lies, flesh and confronting and dealing with the hard things that are easy to continue to bury Because its something we don’t want to deal with. In keeping these things buried it leaves the enemy room to keep hooks in us, and clog the fullness of the power of the Holy Spirit from flowing through you. God requires all of you, there is no part that He wants you to hold on too for yourself. In order to be a completely empty vessel to be used in a way that you are full of His spirit he can’t have anything in the way blocking His right of passage. FULL surrender is the only way, prior to coming into this week if you would have asked me if i considered myself fully surrendered i would have confidently told you YES but God this week showed just how false that was. He revealed some things within me that i was clinging too that I didn’t even see as problems, these things were hindering what He is wanting to use me for and even at times caused me to quench the Holy Spirit from working fully within me. therefore when He showed me these thing it broke my heart and really sent me into a state of brokenness or as we say here on I squad ”Getting Wrecked” which was good, freeing, and life Giving and look forward to sharing what that looked like in my next blog!!
