When we think of home, we think of a place where we can get comfortable, where things a familiar or somewhere we feel as if we have the upper hand and can control what is happening around us. Earlier this week in trading camp a powerful lady named Caren who was our speaker for the day and made a powerful comment about ” the need to understand that the Kingdom of God is flipped upside down” to operate efficiently within the Kingdom of God. Knowing that it is really no surprise that when we as children make it back Home to our Father God or born again that He insist on making us uncomfortable. It is only in the uncomfortable that real growth and progress take place, where real change and development take place. In St. John 15 Jesus talks about pruning or purging a tree that already produces fruit so that I can produce even more fruit… purging involves cutting or trimming a tree and removing anything that is hindering the true from reaching it’s full potential. Our Father is perfect, and is in the perfecting business to whom He is making perfect. Pruning can be uncomfortable, it can, hurt, it can be hard to endure, but it will not be in vain. It will always produce fruit and fruit that will last so that you can share with those who may need a little nourishment for their souls so that the y too can be strengthened. Hard times are not always punishment but instead can be a perfect God, who is perfect in love, doing a perfect work In he who is being made in the likeness of His son Jesus who is also perfect. When life gets hard and seems to be getting heavy and thing get uncomfortable it could be God just trying to produce fruit in you and see you grow. He might be trying to shape, make and mold you like a potter does clay on clay can not be formed with out pressure. Neither can you get stronger without any weight, sometimes some things have to be trimmed to continue to further grow, the ground has to be ripped up and turned over so that the rain can penetrate and create an efficient fertil ground to plant a seed, Gold has to be put in the fire over and over again so that it reaches its purest form. All of these things can be uncomfortable for the one it’s being done too. The one initiating the process know that it is necessary so that the object can be best utilized for its purpose. So embrace the uncomfortable, and cling to the one who is in control of the uncomfortable and let him do his perfect work in you. He just wants to see you reach the fullness of your purpose and you are Loved. Loved to LIFE, and LIFE more abundantly by the very one who created you. in Jesus name.
P.S. note to self and anybody else who needed to hear it.
